COP28 is the 28th annual United Nations climate meeting where governments will discuss how to limit and prepare for future climate change. Nearly every country on Earth will negotiate global goals for tackling climate change, present their individual countries’ plans for contributing to those goals, and report on their progress. The summit is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November until 12 December 2023.

Quest for Adventure have proudly partnered with Aqdar Adventures - Ministry of Interior, and Goumbook, a Dubai based social enterprise, with an ambitious and important goal to plant 28,000 mangrove trees in celebration of this momentous occasion.

COP28 Mangrove Trees

In celebration of COP28, we have an important goal to plant 28,000 mangrove trees!

We are delighted to offer each mangrove tree for 28AED/USD7.62 per tree until we reach the target of 28,000 mangrove trees planted,

Your trees will be planted within the stunning Al Zorah Nature Reserve in the UAE's Emirate of Ajman, which has the additional goal of doubling the size of the Mangrove Forest in order to help combat climate change through nature based solutions.

Mangroves are the only evergreen forest in the Gulf, and have the ability of sequestering huge amounts of carbon, over 300kg CO2 per mangrove in their average lifetime, making them a vital part of the solution to help fight climate change and rising global temperatures.

Quest for Adventures mangrove planting program, which takes place in mangrove forests across the United Arab Emirates, has been hugely successful and all mangrove trees planted count towards the country wide initiative to plant 100 million mangrove trees by 2030 as announced at COP26.

All mangrove trees planted with Quest for Adventure are recorded and reported to each relevant authority to ensure accurate monitoring and record keeping each year.
